The Business Operating System
BOS is a practical way to organize the people, tools, information, authority, and support required to produce a reliable result.
A DISC response summary may prompt questions about communication. BOS separately defines the outcome, responsibility, resources, and support the business needs.
Right responsibility + right resource + right support = reliable operation.
Do not use DISC to decide selection, fit, promotion, discipline, or termination. Establish work requirements through demonstrated skill, experience, capacity, authority, tools, information, and observed results.
Did the right message reach the right person?
Can people find and trust what they need?
Is what matters protected without stopping the work?
Does work get done reliably without heroics?
Can the business keep going when something fails?
Does the owner know who has authority and how to take it back?
Do signals become useful decisions and action?
A self-report score does not establish value, friction, capability, or needed support. Ask what the responsibility requires and verify resources through work evidence.
